Hi,
I'm considering buying this to do a "which hand"-routine. However, I've come to understand that it requiers a coin with a fairly strong m***** built into it. Unfortunately it's quite impossible to find coins like this in my currency (Norwegian kroners). Does anyone have any pointers towards other similar routines? I've been checking out several of the ProMystic/Taylor effects but they all seem to be using a special something (key, ball etc), and you can't use a "borrowed" coin. Any ideas? |

I think it really depends on what your plans are for its use.
I am in Canada -- and, much as I would like to work with a borrowed object, I'd much rather be sure when I go to an effect. I do Prox**ity from ProM*stic -- a which hand effect. I have put the t*g into a leather medicine pouch and the use of it makes perfect sense. You will never miss with a t*g and a recei*er. My suggestion is that you base your decisions on the reliability of the prop and prop system. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a "special something" as long as it is presented in a way that makes sense. David

Get a Relic. The storyline will work in any country.

Thanks for your thoughts, David! I would really like to be able to use a borrowed object, so that's why I'm asking for some product helping me to achieve that effect. I've been looking at both Prox… and Fin***s Ke***rs and trying to figure out the difference between the two. They seem to be quite the same to me.
As for the Relic, I've been seriously thinking about that one but then it's still the issue of the "strange object". Most of my work are in corporate settings, and a lot of it is walk around, so I would want it to look impromptu… |

If I understand you correctly, Rick Maue(Rick's Haunted Majick) and Banachek(psi series) have work on this type of effect.

Maybe contact some of the US and UK coin producers and ask if they can gimmick a Norwegian coin.
By the way, this is well into exposure territory now. We've got the name of the effect, the method and even some brand names all in one thread. |

Neil (and the rest), I'm sorry this was too exposing, and for my part we this thread could be closed and/or deleted. I've gotten the inputs needed as well - thank you!

What is the maximum detecting range of the gimmick? Because even with m******c coins, a lot of gimmicks are not quite reliable.

I sometimes wonder why we don't just all agree to discuss everything in IT, then we wouldn't have to worry about the search engines.
