Michael, my niece who is in music theater is graduating highschool. She started highschool five years after you.
My nephew graduates from 'film' school at the univ of San Francisco next week I think. He is, like most film grads, looking to work at Starbucks. He ignored my advice to intern someplace....kids, gotta love 'em. |

I remember Teller doing the interview on that show.
Reed is cool. He stayed in my hotel room once and he says he'll show us something he usually doesn't tip. My other roomies got ready to learn and I fell asleep and missed it. |

He is a very cool dude. Very self-disciplined but also funny. Spent my last ten bucks (at the time) on those lecture notes. I'd like to go down to Oregon to see him perform in his natural element one of these days.

I thought he missed Lenny's character on the movie myself.

Landmark- that was a joke reference to the other thread where 1972 musicals came up. I mentioned "A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum," "Pippen," and "Grease."
I agree that Cliff Gorman was great. He captured the character better than Hoffman did. But neither of them came close to the real thing. Lenny Bruce was one of my major stylistic influences. |

The magician/actor Steve Cuiffo has been working on a Lenny Bruce show for a while. There are a few clips around the Internet, not sure what to make of it.

Well, I listened to the performance, but couldn't stand watching the darn video with my head laying sideways on my desk. My ear got sore.
Michael, your voice is very nice. But you don't sound like you're working with the piano player very well. Neither of you is controlling the pace. One of you has to, however. My guess is that it's the pianist's fault, not yours. As to whether you're gay or not, who cares? Gay is cool. I'm sure Santa thinks so, too. |

Finally someone on topic!
Thanks so much, and I agree about the piano player thing. Sadly, we only got to rehearse together once, and I cut out the bit at the beginning of the video where he signaled for me to tap the tempo of the piece on my leg to get it started. I tried to listen to him during the song as well as I could given the circumstances. Once again, thank you! And for the record, not that it matters at all, but I am in fact straight

It takes a long time to anticipate what a musical partner is doing. So under the circumstances I think you did a great job. Just for the record, Santa told me once in a PM that is a non-practicing bi-sexual. By "non-practicing" he means he doesn't cheat on his wife. |

This thread is getting a little too "on topic" for my tastes.

With old Michael you need to avoid nazi humor and phalic baked goods, and no Hispanics, they upset him.

I just got the role of "Radames" in the musical (not the opera) "Aida" by Elton John/Tim Rice. Should be fun! Always loved musicals.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
