Hey any magicians know why magic Café doesn't have a delete or disable account option? I find this a lot on social networks and forums. Is it proper etiquette to boast about how many numbers of visitors and member's you have, but not give the option to opt out if you so choose? not all forums or social networks are for everyone, therefore shouldn't one be able to deactivate account. FREEDOM of SPEECH is very important to me and when the FREEDOM is one way then what's the point of being able to express yourself? I find it very disheartening based on some of the talk about the Magic Café on external blogs saying how "I have posted a couple of times on the Magic Café and am puzzled by their policy of deleting threads. I am all in favor of deleting posts when they are not appropriate (personal attacks, politics, religion, etc.). I don't understand, however, deleting "routine" posts. WHAT"S UP WITH THAT! I am a newcomer to the magic Café and when my posts are being deleted so quickly it really make me wonder what your agenda is. I love the ideas and discussions of a lot of the threads, but you totally lost me as a user.I'm posting this because I've sent email in the past, but had no luck with response. So please take me off as user and delete my account.

This is not a public forum. It is a privately owned business. Moderators can delete any post or thread for their own reasons with no explanation given. Read the rules you agreed to when you signed up.

Hence my 'Really' comment.

Aside from "freedom of speech" there are numerous legal issues which might come into play, as well as other considerations towards the subjects of your posts. I personally have no way of knowing what factors played into the deletion of your posts. However, having been around for just a little bit and being marginally familiar with what goes into making that decision, I would venture that you crossed a line that you agreed not to cross when you agreed to the rules upon sign-up.

The moderating of posts on the Café is one reason why I'm here, and not on those other sites and blogs. If you're more comfortable with "freedom" unhindered by any sense of social or legal responsibility, then please do go join another forum.
