Nice quote from Richard Kaufman in this Genii forum discussion: http://www.geniimagazine.com/forums/ubbt......r=264583
"Sol Stone is the unsung hero of coin magic--without him there would have been no David Roth, and without Roth, there would never have been the resurgence in coin magic that we saw in the 70s, 80s, and which continues today." The book is positively reviewed by David Britland on pages 79-81 of the June 2012 Genii.
The review says it is published by The Alexander Studio, so it appears published by the book's illustrator, Cassidy Alexander. Steve Cohen also has kind words for the book in the Genii forum thread, linked above. |

His DVD is excellent, I would expect nothing different from this book.

I heard from a dealer today, that I know and respect, that "The Essential Sol Stone" has been delayed from the printers for 10 more days.
motown, can you tell us more about the DVD and where one can buy a copy?

Peo,
Here's a link: http://www.mymagic.com/stone.htm Many dealers sell it. The material on it is excellent. Mostly coin magic. Sol's a very good teacher.

I also received my copy yesterday and am pleased with the well-written content, the tasteful layout, and the excellent illustrations. Sol Stone's simple but elegant approach to intimate magic with coins, cards, and commonplace objects is important and deserves to be presented in such a handsome book. I look forward to studying some of the methods and routines that I have not had the opportunity to learn about until now.

Cassidy Alexander's illustrations are among the best I have ever seen in a magic book. My favorites are Sol's Spellbound work that includes his Tumble Switch, and his borrowed ring on pen.
