First Earl Scruggs and now Doc Watson has passed away at age 89.

I hope there is some fancy picking going down in Heaven tonight.

RIP- Another legend is gone.

No doubt! Earl and Doc picking, and Elvis and Johnny singing along.

RIP Doc. You are already missed.

I just found this- Doc and Earl playing together at Doc's home. I imagine this is exactly what's going on upstairs at the moment:

A wonderful guy and magical player Doc Watson, god bless him and may he rest in peace.

It does seem we have lost a lot of guitarists lately.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Bob, that's exactly what I imagine is happening. Doc is not just picking with Earl, but with his son Merle, who he lost many years ago.

Glad to hear you're a Believer Bob. Smile
What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about? Smile

My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums.
