I do not believe you can just purchase the DVD. THe link, which I copied from the top of thsi thread, is as follows:

I'm torn between this and evaporate that just came out and my local magic shop recommended when checking out a Raven.
I don't know enough about Evaporate yet so waiting to hear more on that as its a fairly new item...in the meantime, the above posts by magicinsight really helped out in understanding the pros of The Phantom Kit better so thanks for that. I'm definitely leaning towards this. |

Who created this gimmick? I have a magician friend who bought one, but he's keeping it secret from me.

I received the Phantom Kit today, from Magic by Post (shipping cost the lowest for where I live : France). Like someone else here, I also was upset when opening the package. What's new exactly ? I wasn't supposed to buy a Raven. Then, I watch the DVD, and I understand something. It's not only the tool, but also the new method/handling you're buying. It also teaches you how to vanish objects that a mag**** can't catch. Even though I had the Raven, I used it just occasionally because repeating the performance is really difficult in front of spectators, if not impossible : I couldn't answer yes when people ask "do it again" which was frustrating for me. But now this dream is possible, so even for me who already own the Raven, I do not regret buying this DVD. You should buy it. Trust me, you won't regret it (unless you already come up with the exact same idea).
I'm happy to know I can perform the Raven in front of people, and reset it immediately after I vanish a first coin, although it would need a little bit of misdirection in order to dislodge the coin you've stolen before, but honestly, it shouldn't be difficult to ditch that coin. After practicing for one hour or so, it seems obvious to me you should better move your body in order to cover the angles, even if you wear a long shirt. Yes, a long shirt is highly recommended if you use that kind of handling. Using this approach you can also steal a coin from a spectator's hand, although it looks strange since your hand must be kept very close to your body. |

If it's not giving too much away, could someone please tell me of the hook up in this is smarter than just having it hanging out the bottom of your t-shirt? As tried that with the raven and didn't get on.
