Does anyone here own the products offered by these two guys?
I think it's called the Nursery Rhymes and they have 1 through 3 along with a dvd that will come out shortly. I've heard they were both flourishes and magic. |

I don't own them, but I know that they are worth it. Dan and Daves stuff is great if you like some hard flourishes and some pretty good magic. If you want a taste of them check out the latest Genii. They are the cover boys and a few tricks and flourishes are in their artical. It is definitly worth more than the five bucks. (Pun not intended)
Check out my new effect "As Good As It Gets" a gimmickles pencil or pen through bill effect. It closely mimmicks the slow motion phase of "Misled." About "As Good AS It Gets" for no gimmicks and everything being borrowed.

I own Nursery Rhymes 1 & 2. They have some pretty interesting stuff in them. The only thing that I can recall at the moment is there was a pretty flashy version of the collectors, and there were some nice Ace Productions. It's been a while since I looked at them. I actually learned most of their material off of their VHS videotape they had available a few years ago. The explanations weren't the best, but I was able to learn them.

I own them and do not like them. There is mostly ace productions (that have messy setups), and the flourishes are all old. I wish they were put together better also. It would be MUCH better to get this months genii magazine. It has most of the moves in the phamphlets for free.

"the flourishes are all old."
So, according to you, a good old-fashionned card spring, or some nice fans and a spread turnover are not that good because they are very old ?!?!? In my book, if it is old and it still used today, it means it must be pretty good (maybe a even classic!). So I guess according to you, the Linking Rings, Cups & Balls, 3 Card Monte, card manipulations, etc... are not worth much since they are all VERY VERY old... Am I missing your point???? But I was wondering about the current setup with the pamphlets. They have 4 out so far and are planning to release a dvd soon.
Also whoever likes Superhandz stuff would hold a grudge against the twins. I like both of them though. |
