Ok, that was just about the best GGG yet.

Lance Pierce was the perfect choice for a closer.

Here are some other highlights:

Tony Chang fooled me pretty badly. Period.

Another guy from Montreal showed me the best variation of Chuck Smith's cards up the sleeve I've ever seen. Talk about avoiding repetition and an anti-climactic ending.

Steve Dobson was back to his old self...sessioning until 6:00 in the morning and starting again at 10:00 a.am.

Bill Malone was nuts, called my wife and said if she and I ever divorce...well you know where that conversation went...

Ricky Smith actually picked up a gorgeous girl and won a dancing contest? What?

Rosie made awesome food (as usual) in the session suite

Mahdie (sp?) Gilbert was on fire

Younger magicians were being helped by the older crowd

Clicks were EXTREMELY minimal

Theron Schaub had the USPCC make some very cool cards cald Shifters. I highly suggest the first run. They feel like the Richard Turner Bikes with a finish that almost reminds me of the old Walgreen Stud cards.

And I'm sure there is more that I'm forgetting.

While I hope GGG continues to grow, I also hope it retains the intimacy that makes it a success. So...here's looking forward to GGG 7. And yes for those who have asked...it will continue.

Best,

Dorian Rhodell

I've been to every GGG thus far - all have been great and this year was no exception. Smile

Great seeing old friends and of course making new ones. Smile

Highlights for me was meeting Lance Pierce and watching him work. He is nothing short of brilliant and a great guy to boot. Smile

Also winning Tom Frame's annual GAG game was both an honor and a feather in my cap. This was the third year Tom has hosted this Texas Hold'em event and I finally took the kitty! Smile

Listening to Jared Kopf's Vernon imitations was something I won't easily forget. I laughed until it hurt - seriously!

Finally, spending time with all my friends until the sun rises is of course the best part. Smile

It all went to quick (It always does) and I'm already looking forward to next year.

We'll miss you Kent, yet somehow me thinks you'll show-up next year just because you can. Smile

Kent won't be back? To the uninformed (me), that doesn't seem to make sense. What's up?

Oh, Kent will be back.

If not, we're sending out a team to drag him kicking and screaming.

We could have been practicing!
