Now, I thought I had deciphered some of the mysteries of this place. So how did my post count suddenly go UP after several months of not posting? Next thing you're gonna tell me is that there isn't anything mysterious about it. But there is. It's...like...magic or something.

Jeff, you've posted everyday in June so I don't know why you think you haven't posted. Of course all of your posts are in the not magical forum which doesn't count toward post totals. I can't tell you what you count was the last time you looked so maybe you just had your eyes closed or something LOL. Post count can't increase unless you posts in a countable forum.

Dave, that's my point. I don't think that I've posted in a forum other than Not Very Magical for something like five or six months. And I don't really look at my post count, because it never changes.

So yesterday or the day before it jumped from 2945 to 2946. My immediate thought (irrational, I guess) is that someone had hijacked my account. So I did the 30-day search, like you did, and saw that no one had posted as me in some other forum

So this is a minor, unimportant mystery. But a mystery it is.

I found it.On May 9th you made one post in the Right or Wrong forum which is a countable forum. You count was increased from 2945 to 2946

Wow! That's pretty good research. Now I'm gonna go read what I posted. Thanks. I also see (now that you pointed it out) a post in April, too. That means I've actually added to my post count twice (at least!) this year without noticing the number changing.

Maybe I just need new reading glasses.
