More on Kainoa:
Magicians know him best from the first two DVDs from the Palms of Steel series, where he appeared alongside some of the most influential workers in modern coin magic, Curtis Kam and Reed McClintock. He has also been featured at three of the New York Coin Magic Seminars—at Marc DeSouza’s house in Pennsylvania and the World Magic Seminar in Las Vegas—at the request of David Roth, Michael Rubinstein, Geoff Latta, and Mike Gallo. He was spotlighted on their DVD collection devoted to Coins Across and has appeared in a number of their following volumes. He participated in many panels at the now legendary 2003 COINvention and is also a contributor to the DVD commemorating the event. His own books, Coins on Edge and Cointopia, contain some of the most revolutionary material the world of coin magic has seen in years. His most recent set of notes, Coinapalooza I: Shell Shocked and Coinapalooza II: International Deceptions, continue this trend, featuring coin magic for all skill levels while building on the material from Coins on Edge. From Hawaii by way of Delaware, Kainoa will teach material developed in the "table-hopping trenches" as well as discuss the hows and the whys of transforming your standard pieces of close up into events that play for larger groups. Despite his reputation, not all of this work is for finger-flingers only. There is material for the novice performer, but Kainoa will also be presenting concepts alongside of the routines--concepts that truly make the magic happen. His thinking is revolutionary, and he takes pleasure in tormenting other magicians by making the most difficult material look easy. Couple that with his engaging personality and offbeat sense of humor and you have what is sure to be an unforgettable experience of great magic. Don't miss this chance to see a true "one of a kind" performer.
