It's the grail where the box does the work. It is very clever.

No comparison at all.

That means better or?? I pretty much like the grail so my question is since the effect looks pretty much the same is this version different, cleaner, easier or your advice is to keep going with the grail??

If you can perform Grail smoothly and never have any fumbling then keep doing the Grail.
X-Act is kind of a mechanical solution to eliminate the fumbling that many have an issue with when doing the Grail.
It's like training wheels for Grail. But X-Act is a very clever and elegant solution and the downsides are very insignificant IMO.

Xact or where in the world are both brilliant and undetectable and work flawlessly every time . Highly recommended if you want an open prediction type effect with no chance of faliure regards Tarik 😊

"Think" is as near perfect for me ...
However, am I right in thinking that X-act can accomplish this without having to worry about +-3 from top or bottom of the deck, AND the number CAN be 1-52, directly from the top only ?!

your advice will be much appreciated, please pm me ...

Wulfiesmith, yes that is correct about X-Act, although it's been a while since I have done it and I believe you may have to steer the spec away from from numbers 1 or 2 and maybe over 50.
But those are very uncommon and easy to justify not using.

But then again I may be wrong about that. I tend to get a lot of these counting effects mixed up with one another so someone else will have to confirm.

Any number can be named with it and it's fool proof . As it comes the number 52 card cannot be named but you just stick another force card in there and even the jokers if you wish it's perfect for the gift as you can have 4 outs and the repeats are 23 cards apart so hardly ever show twice and never noticed . Using it with where in the world there are no repeats at all it's far better than the Koran as never ever one off hardly any repeats and far easier than the grail . Regards Tarik 😊

Can this be done with a Phoenix deck? Or is this bicycle only. Confused because one review on Penguin says you supply the deck...

You do supply your own deck, but it has to be Bicycle.

Looks interesting. So there IS a gimmick and you use your own (Bicycle) deck...is that right ?

Yes, but the deck stops being "your own," in a sense. You will supply a regular deck, which will be combined with the gimmicks to make a one-trick deck. But what a trick, and what a gimmick.

This is a fantastic effect....I carry this as much as possible. My everyday wallet is a shogun so it fits in perfect with this effect, the gimmicked cards and the workings of this are brilliant.....
