It's great but it does take up a lot of pocket space..

I used mine for about two weeks and realized that a) it really took up too much pocket space and b) while it had some small advantages, that the same kind of effect could be achieved with an In******e Deck.
It's certainly well made -- and it gets wonderful reactions. But so does the you-know-what deck. The methodology requires a fair bit of practice and I just didn't feel that the amount of pocket real estate it chewed up in my pocket was justified. Having said that -- if you're doing one effect in a parlor type of presentation, or aren't using your pockets for anything else, Bang On will be wonderful. I just wasn't thrilled with mine so it's been sold long ago. Hope this helps. David

I love mine, and use it now all the time instead of the invisible deck. Nicely made bit of kit. It does use up two pockets, but takes up no more space than carrying two decks. You could always eliminate one colour with a magicians choice, and half the space it takes up. I would highly recommend it.

David is correct. It is similar to that certain deck. I've used that certain deck and like the overall response. That being said, I seem to get a much bigger response from Bang On. I think it may have something to do with the card actually being in an envelope, in a wallet. Perhaps (and I'm not sure) some people see that certain deck as being manipulated, somehow, as magicians are wont to do. Just perhaps, the envelope and wallet move the effect outside the realm of manipulation.
David's also right about the real estate. It does take up a bit of space. I’ve accounted for that by adding another effect that actually uses the same space. That gives be two great reasons to use it. Because of the response this effect gets, I’ve looked everywhere for a back-up, with no success. It seems that everyone is completely sold out. But, after your post reminded me of the rarity of the effect, I went searching again – with a vengeance. I just bought one of the last few available. I won’t post the source on a public forum, but if any of the regulars PM me, I’ll provide a link. Warning: When I ordered, the shop owner said that he was heading to FISM at Blackpool and would probably sell out there. So, if y’all want, order by Friday to secure one of these. HAPPY FOURTH, GANG! |
