I'm posting this on behalf of Caleb Wiles.

In 2009, I attended the TFD in OKC convention. It was the MOST fun I’ve EVER had at a convention. The atmosphere was so friendly and everyone wanted to session. The feeling was electric. It was also where I first had the opportunity to meet some amazing magicians who I had previously only known through my conversations with them on various magic forums (including this one!). A couple years passed by and I continued to wish that for an announcement for another convention. Finally, I thought to myself that instead of waiting around, I should get up off my butt and start looking into getting another one started myself. I checked around and I found that I wasn’t the only one itching for another get-together.

So, a few of us teamed up and worked out the details. NONE of us are earning a dime from the event. The registration fees go to help us pay for travel expenses for the talent and the printing of the booklets. The only thing we’re all getting out of the deal is a chance to hang out with all of you and to see some great magic. Any profits will go into a TFD fund to use for future events. If nothing is planned, then the money will go to charity. Also, just to be clear, this event is not officially sponsored by The Second Deal or The Magic Pebble.

So, here are all the details.

EVENTS:
- Chris Mayhew/Ben Train Double Lecture
- Jack Carpenter Lecture
- Mike Powers Lecture

Now, on behalf of myself!

Like Caleb I attended the 2009 TFD convention, and like Caleb I felt it was one of the best conventions I've ever attended. The talent, both in the lineup and amongst the attendees, was out of this world.

The convention is designed to be small and intimate. That's the reason I've only NOW been allowed to post about it. If you're a card guy (and would you be in the worker section if you weren't?) then this lineup should excite you as much as it excites me!

Add in the "surprise guest" and this will be one of the best conventions you'll attend this year. Or, heck, any year.

So contact Caleb, grab your decks, and come ready to have a BLAST.

Hi, Ben.

Just curious...what do the letters TFD stand for? Thanks for the info.

I'm heading there tonight. You guys will freak when you see the surprise guest on Saturday. The line-up is stacked and the attendee list looks like a headliner list itself. I can't wait!

I've never seen a small convention with more 'names' attending in my life. The special guest is one of the true masters of magic, and someone I'd travel thousands of miles to see (honestly).

I cannot wait to see everyone!
