Mine has arrived yesterday. The DVD is damaged - what a pity. The seller promissed to send a replacement immediatelly (big tip for German magicians: stemaro.de <- great service).
But the lens looks disappointing at the first glance. Well, I think gimmicks always do... the more I am excited to see the DVD. Without it I still have no clue about the trick itself. |

DVD arrived - great thing that! Against you advice I performed it right out of the box. My story is about the "Radical Constructivism"-theory that roughly says "reality start with thinking, so thinking primarily creates reality" (I have lots of nerdy academics around me ;D). So I ask the people to try to think that this was real. The first two reaction were are great! I will try to get some more tonight.
(would have loved to edit my text above but there is no option - sorry for double posting / edit: got it - it´s too old) |

I love the idea with a fork I'm going to have to try that there is no reason why it should not work.
I normally give away pens I buy for £1 for 24 but at dinners or parties giving a fork away just seems a bit more inkeeping, great idea. If you are in the UK or Europe you can get it here http://www.paulharrispresents.co.uk/new-......ris.html

I have doubled the impact by adding a s****h. The spactator may handle and check the biro in advance. Then I ask him or her to check the "lens" very thoroughly. "Hold it against the light". This kills the last bit of doubt.

Just got this on an impulse buy at the local store and glad I did! Neat effect and super simple to do. It's simplicity doesn't make it shallow, however, as the reactions are great.
Presentation only improves what on its own is already pretty visual. But I plan on being creative with it. Maybe following the advice of keeping it between two credit cards but then explaining how doing so has created some sort of magnetic magic effect on the protector? Alright, maybe that's pretty lame but it's a work in progress, what can I say! |

Just thought I would finally post my thoughts on this. This is one of those purchases I bought a long time ago and never took out for the test drive. I finally pulled out the lens and just performed it a few times. Wow- if I knew this got such great reactions as it did I would have used this a long time ago. Lubor's Lens really packs a punch. The spectators really gasped and screamed after they saw the transformation of the pen. What a great effect for a great price!

Funny, I used to perform this when it first came out years ago. Its been collecting dust since then. Now I might bring it out again.
It is easy, visually stunning, & leaves a souvenir. What would be good is to get pens imprinted with your info, get that all twisted up and leave that as a souvenir. They will always keep that! |

Addendum:
More then two years after my first post on this, I still carry the lens in my wallet and I am ready to perform this at any time. Well invested money! |

The book on the effect is a great collection of ideas and presentations from all over. Well worth the loot.
I have a series of photos on my FB page (albums) that show how I vamped this up to be a Fair attraction that I ran between shows. The premise is straight: Antique X-Ray glasses and you have 3 hands-on proofs to show the folks. They walk away believing! I had a lot of fun running this one. The Fiedler lens is a great tool.
