I have my first children's performance tomorrow. I know what I'm doing for the show and am well prepared. I'm just looking for any last minute advice from the performers on here. The show is for a group of 4-6 year olds. Thanks in advance guys.

You're prepared and they are cute.

They have more fun if you are in control.
Telling them where to sit so they can see is an easy way to establish control pleasantly. Be friendly and fun.

Be prepared for interruptions, Sometimes you can just keep going and they'll be OK but if the interuption is persistant a friendly acknowagement before returning to your "script" usually works. This assumes that you don't want to just have fun with what they are saying for a while, which is also OK.

Silly silly silly. And don't be caught off guard if nobody claps when they are supposed to. Keep them laughing and ask for the applause if you want it.

What a coincedence!!!!

The show went very well. Everyone, even the adults in the room, seemed genuinely entertained. The audience was and involved in the show. The kids probably won't forget my final rabbit production any time soon either.

Yea!

Enjoy the feeling and concentrate on what went well for a while.

Then go though your show list and imagine what you'd like to change or what could have gone better.

This process can give you quick improvement.
