A fair amount of rain throughout the day today. Some the last few days, too. Supposed to be more the rest of the week, as well. The Fair's on this weekend and looking like it might get rained out, which is not unusual when they hold it after my birthday instead of on it. So, we'll see how things go for the crops... I don't think they can really call it til the season's done... I understand damage might be done, but the season ain't over yet, so... we'll see...

Rain in August? For California, that's unheard of. Then again, we've got it lucky compared to the rest of the USA- our summer's been mild. Only in the last few weeks have temperatures here been in the 90's and 100's.

We may get one heck of a wet winter, though.

It was 110 here in Dallas today. We are at 25 days in a row of temps over 100 degrees.

Here in North Georgia, we're still in a drought but we've been getting hammered with the rain. It's also been cool here in the nights. The outside thermometer now says 70.
