Hi, Gerry. A buddy of mine owns this effect and presented it to me. Let's just say that I was at a complete loss for words. Its pricy but VERY well made and will surely last a lifetime. A gorgeous prop and effect. In fact, I'm thinking about getting one myself from Stevens. Honestly, no one could be disappointed with this in my opinion.

Thank you very much for the info. I've been wanting to purchase this effect for quite some time now, and with your great opinion I'll be purchasing the effect.
Thanks again Richard. Gerry Thoughts have wings |

I have one too. I think it is exceptional. You will amaze yourself as much as you amaze everyone else. This thing is so clever it's scary.

JonTown, check the following -- http://www.stevensmagic.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=2115
I think it's extremely clever, but because it's very unusual looking, it's the kind of thing that people frequently want to handle and it might not withstand close examination (see Michele's posting above). Regardless, my opinion is that while it's clever, it's not worth the pocket space for professional performance. I'd much rather perform an effect with a real watch...so I do. Larry D. |

Wow! This does sound really good, thanx Larry for the URL.
I got a few queries though - is it really true that ANY RANDOM TIME can be named? And I mean ANY RANDOM HONEST TO GOODNESS TIME can be named? No funny questions that limit the selections of times (i.e. Watch Crystal)? If so, this is on my list of things to get when I have enough money in my moth filled wallet Take care all, Logan

Hi Logan
It is any random hour, not any random time. If it was any random time, it would be a miracle. I saw it performed at Blackpool last February + it certainly is amazing. I wish I had of bought it. Now I might have to import it. Hope that helps. jimesw http://www.thehungersite.com |

The only problem I encounter is that everyone I show it too wants to hold it. You cant let them take it from you. When you show them, you have to hold it. That seems a little strange to them, after all if you really had a laminated postcard you would hand it to them to look at, how many postcards do you show someone and hld it for them?
Otherwise its awesome as far as quality, just the gimmick is very obvious if you let them handle it at all. |

It is not a postcard size, just about 2/3 of a postcard. So if you need to show the clock to the audiences, you must show them close up.There are several problem:
1.You cannot not let the audiences to handle it. 2.The way you hold the postcard is very strange, not by the corner. 3.Hard to get exact time when the gimmick get loose. It is only good for collecting but not for performing. |

I like to start this effect by telling people this is something that is very near and dear to me (this will later be used as the reason I do not hand it out). As far as the gimmick being seen I tilt the card just right as well as use the black dot covering the time as a "Black on Black" hiding method. I hope that helps.
Good magic to all, Eric |

It's one of the best props I ever own. Very well-made.
The secret is baffling and surely you can make every spectators speechless with this. Alex Hui

Donot get me wrong, the prop is gorgeous.
Am I the only one who had to unscrew it and modify the inside? |

I am afraid I find that the prop doesn't hide the gimmick adequately... as expressed before in this thread, using an unusual object (prop) and being unable to hand it out for examination makes this trick hard to perform, if not impossible with certain audiences.

Perhaps have spectator draw a cheap clock and show you time then place it facedown then ask spectator to say what time is on the picture. Will you please show everyone your drawing. 2. It is really a picture not a post card so I can't really agree with you on this. 3. I do agree with you 100% here. |
