When Clinton Detweiler advised me the other day that I had passed my Advanced Certificate for the Maher Course I decided that I was definitely going to be dedicating most of my time to my vent shows this Summer.

So to celebrate and to add to the show I finally ordered a Selberg figure and this is the one that I've ordered.

His name will be MJ. As soon as I saw him on the Selberg site my mind starting popping with character ideas and story lines. I'm super excited.

I presume when you said you want to use him in summer shows, you meant summer 2013-2014.But yes, welcome to the club. They are great figures.

No, Bob knew what he was saying, expecting it by December is wishful thinking, I think the usual wait time for a Selberg is at least a year.

A year!? I was given a time frame of about 12 weeks. He's not having anything extra except for raising eyebrows

I emailed Tim Selberg to reconfirm this. I certainly hope that's not going to be the case as it throws out my plans.

Gosh not even Dan Lavender takes a year

If he told you 12 weeks, you can hope he meets that timeline, but I know there are people on this forum who have bought Selbergs and can tell you that generally it's a year's wait.

Well if that's the case I may have to come up with another plan. A year is way too long.

Dreams do come true, sometimes. Lady attending conVENTion received her figure that was ordered January 2012. Imagine that, received in the same year as it was ordered.

I've ordered 2 Selberg figures in January. In May ''one was almost finished''. Until today, I still don't have one figure yet.... Smile
But they are worth the waiting, I guess..

I am still waiting for my new figure from Tim Selberg...

When I get the figure, I will post my comments. While I am sure the figure will be a work of art, I don't think anyone will like what I have to say about his so called NEW policy.

I emailed Tim asking him to provide me with a lead time for my order and even referred him to this thread, but received no response. So based on all of your responses plus others on my FaceBook post I cancelled my order.

I'm sorry to hear that, Aussie. The man is obviously a brilliant artist; it's just too bad that he does business in this manner. Unfortunately, he's not the only figure maker that does so.

That said, we have an awesome new figure maker in our midst that you may want to consider - Mr. James Manalli.

With all due respects, I think Ausie should give Tim the chance. If he said 12 weeks... he might deliver in 12 weeks, why cancel an order just because you heard stories...

My Tater was delivered promptly...

I am only having a problem with my nee order...

Ask Tim about the NEW policy... I cant comment on it. Its his policy...
