Zombie Magic Inner circle I went out for a beer and now have 8733 Posts |
This is the first I've heard of this:
http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/2728 Here' a full performance. You can see how polished he is and how he gets future work with his business card: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYpczo1raQE&feature=relmfu The ad: No longer do you need to carry an expensive, oversized wallet to have an impossible location for a signed card to appear. A plastic envelope is shown to contain a sealed paper envelope. Inside this is the signed card, bank note, ring, etc. EVERYTHING you used to do with your wallet and more is possible with PET. |

I believe this effect was used by John Van Der Put in his Penguin Live lecture.

Yeah, John (Piff) swears by it. Or at least he did before his rebirth as a magic dinosaur
Oh, and I should add, the version Penguin has is actually the brand new, 2.0 improved version. |

Wow this screams commercial. Just bought it (from Penguin of course) + an obscene amount of envelope refills.

Hmm I liked it... Now is this a download or will you be shipped gimmicks? Can I make my own after purchase?

You get 20 red envelopes with it. They are chinese money envelopes, available on Ebay or from Richard's site. When I compared prices after shipping, Richard's bigger refill packs were as cheap as Ebay after shipping.
http://www.littleshopofmagic.co.uk/pet/petrefills.html and http://www.ebay.com/itm/80-Pieces-Chines......31114348 Roughly $0.05 USD per performance, which is INSANE cheap. The time spent making your own wouldn't be worth it at that price IMHO. |

It's really great, I have it since last week. It's easy and practical. Haven't tried it on
performance yet, still on rehearsal... Recommended! Nico. |

Thank you for the prompt and honest reply.

Sorry for my short response earlier I was trying to get out to a show.
To be clear, there is no V2.0. There was a pre release version that had Velcro instead of the plastic snap. Penguin Magic saw this early version so the finished article is the second one they are aware of. Thus the confusion. (The plastic snap although much more complicated in manufacture is a massive improvement) All the P.E.T.'s are the same original version and currently only available from http://www.PenguinMagic.com or http://www.LittleShopOfMagic.co.uk I hope that helps. Best wishes. Richard |

Oh what a mess I've made Thanks for clearing that up, Richard! I think in conversation months ago someone had called it PET2, and I must have forgotten that #1 was never an "official" release.

I purchased pet a few weeks back form Richard during a magic circle meeting. The very next day I ordered a shedload of the refills from him. Clean, direct and super simple.

It is great and the clear one in my opinion is the best option as it looks so good.
Had this a few weeks and it takes up no pocket space and the reset is quick too. carl. |

Just ordered !
The fact that the whole working procedure is explained via a tutorial video on Little Shop's product page made all the difference to me. This is quite rare (and honest !) to offer the instructional video BEFORE buying the product. For obvious reasons this can't be done often but it goes to show how confident Richard is in his product's quality. I will report back as soon as I have tested it (as I live in Paris's Chinatown this should be fun !). |

Can manila coin envelopes be used instead of the provided red envelopes?

Not sure about manila as I cant remember sizes but I prefer these as they are a bit mysterious
