The Olympic Opening Ceremony was so funny, outstandingly entertaining. By a long shot, the most brilliant Opening Ceremony ever. Truly, a spectacle that puts the UK right back into the spotlight.
This makes me so proud to be British. I sincerely hope you've all been watching...... Potty |

No, I was re-watching clips from FISM. Are you saying that the Olympic opening ceremony was better than the FISM opening ceremony? That's grounds for treason amongst some magicians!

The industrial age start was spectacular. I'm sure GZ could have done a better job if he was in charge, you know with his god like ability. But Danny Boyle did the country proud all the same.

Look out for Rowan Atkinson, rock stars, the Queen parachuting down to the stadium, James Bond...geez, this was really, really good! Most highly enjoyable, and a "History of Britain" to boot.....
The show was really exceptional. I just wish I'd been there....... :) |

I missed the start, but it was an inspiring show. The only way it could have been improved would have been to cut out the insufferable ass Seb Coe. They did a hell of a job - great start to the games.

Outstanding so far! I'm taking a break while the very boring parade of countries is going on. Am also wondering what McCartney will pick to perform from his amazing aray of songs he has written.
Still on C! PS Bravo to the Queen for her sense of humor!

Where would we be without the British? Speaking German.

All 15,000 people involved in the opening ceremony were volunteers - so where did the £27 million go? – If he spent it on the grass, I would hope its street value is worth more than that.
Two teenagers texting each other during a live performance, then making out - that’s Britain for you. They main problem was that she wasn’t wearing her pyjamas and they both left their children in the car. The British put on an amazing opening ceremony. But it’s the Polish we should be thanking for doing all the actual hard work. Security alerts at the Opening ceremony meant that everyone had to be stripped search before being allowed in. For the Queen, it was the first time she had been touched like that in years. When the Queen parachuted into the stadium from the helicopter – you only had to look at Prince Charles and you could see him desperately hoping that the parachute would get stuck. I believe no animals were harmed in the formation of the opening show, however someone did stand on an ant on the way in. The people who was most happy about that opening ceremony parade taking as long as it did was the hotdog vendors at the top of each row. They made a fortune. David and Victoria Beckham both helped the torch bearer by giving her a lift on their speed boat. You may not have seen Victoria but she was there, she was hidden behind the torch itself. The Best of British were represented, from James Bond to Rowan Atkinson. But didn’t they forget the Spice Girls, Simon Cowell and Jedwood? What is this world coming to? They should have opened the ceremony with Bruce Forsyth saying Nice to see you, to see you… It wouldn’t have been out of place, he lived through the industrial stage and his act is as old as those hills they had on there. From Sickipedia: Having watched the opening ceremony, I must say... I've seen better Bond girls. Well done Danny Boyle. Nothing says "London" better than youths setting fire to stuff. Really enjoyed Danny Boyles latest movie last night. 28 Million Later. The Olympic opening ceremony gives a whole new meaning to 'The Dark Ages' |

Well in glad I wasn't sat with Stephen during opening ceremony, although he truly defines a true Brit in that he can always find something to moan about. I though it was a great show however we sure know how to royaly mess it up by bringing on Paul McCartney, he was crap in the beetles and he is even worse now.

China will forever be hard to beat when it comes to opening ceremonies.
However Mr. Bean is my hero! Good job.
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.
