My dad is in his last hours now. He gathered his family around the hospital bed yesterday and we said our goodbyes to each other. He was a wonderful man and lived a full 95 years, alert to almost the end. I'm really sad today.

95 years is wonderful.

I'm glad that your dad is a wonderful man.

May your memory of him bring him a sort of immortality.

I'm sad about your sadness.

I am very sorry. Doesn't matter how old it is too young. My dad started chemo yesterday and he told me he just wants to hit 90. I feel for you cuz I know you are close to your dad.

You have my sympathies. I lost my father on June 6, 2007. He was 77.

My father isn't in the best health either, so I can relate.
I hope that he has found comfort in knowing that he isn't alone
as he transitions into the next part of his life. You have friends here!

You be sure to take care of yourself as well buddy.

It sounds like he had a good life. I hope you got to do a lot of the things you wanted to do together. My dad died sixteen years ago at age 77. This sounds strange, but I don't miss him nearly as much during holiday seasons as I do when our favorite sports teams are on TV and someone makes a great play, and I just want to pick up the phone, call him, and say "Did you see that?!?!?!"

I used to work with a guy whose mother-in-law died. I asked him to convey my sympathies to his wife, and he replied, "Thanks, but they weren't very close." I know there are a lot of situations like this, but this sort of statement breaks my heart.

I'll be praying for you and your family.
