The idea about printing your business card label on the back of the playing card for party animal is a great idea.

With all purchases of the Brainstorm DVDs or Second Storm lecture notes, I'm including 2 new effects I've recently written up. "Vino Aces" is a great ace assembly using four wine glasses and "Quickpocket" is a clean cards to pocket routine using 4 Aces and 4 Jacks. Both have recently been mentioned with praise by Jon Racherbaumer.
Hard at work on a new set of notes. As far as another DVD, the timing didn't work out with L&L this past summer. Maybe 2006. Best, John G

The Bud cards are hard to find these days. Most don't have white borders, but they still work dine. Do a search at froogle.com or ebay. Good luck. Glad you liked the DVDs!

Hey, I have had great luck finding bud cards at Walgreens (in the liquor section) and have also used coke cards (found at Target and Albertson). As far as the elusive frog hunt, Cost Plus Markets sells a three pack of frogs(no crown or squeaker) for under five bucks in their bath section. They carry the frogs in 3 different sizes and also have a 'bag-o-frogs' dressed like a fireman, a policeman, a doctor, and a pirate! IN ADDITION, if you hurry they currently have Holloween frogs dressed as vampires complete with little white fangs.
Hope this helps...

Although you CAN get Budweiser cards from this site, they ARE NOT the ones with the white border on them (the ones used in John's DVD). Just thought I'd let you know.

A card was clearly inserted into a clear plastic card case, guarded by two Jacks. Then the card magically disappeared before the spectators very eyes. The card was then found in the middle of the deck which was placed on the table in the spectators view the whole time. After several phase of the same card turning face down and face up in between the two jacks in an imppossible manner, the selected card was once again clearly lost in the deck. The two jacks were used to sandwiched the clearly plastice case which was clearly empty. After a magical gesture, the selected card made an impossible flight back INTO the card case. The selected was then removed from within the card case for examination. The magic is incredible. Nothing in my view top this one. Truely incredible. Get the DVD, it's well worth it. |

You can use any other type of card if you want. Not just limit it to John's routine.

Shakey,
I just use a plastic protective cover for a baseball card. Super cheap and works perfectly. Here, you can pick them up at baseball card shops. I'm sure you could find a site online that sales them. Or if there is such a thing as football cards in the U.K., you might be able to find some near you. |
