I came into the house after working outside this evening to find that my wife was cooking a wonderful dinner and had an old episode of Dr. Who on the TV. As I fired up my computer I heard a commercial come on: one of those public service announcement things directed at people who had taken some sort of medicine and who might have experienced some adverse side effects. What I heard was that if you had this symptom or that symptom or some other symptom - or had died - they wanted you to phone them. I burst out laughing.

I'm pretty sure that I know the response rate from that last group, but I wonder what response rate they were expecting.

I laugh at the "or even died call...".

But all the scammers will be there, so just to torture them the 800 #s will all go to actual charitable contributions.

And they probably wouldn't really be toll-free numbers either. Scammers, cheaters, unethical purveyors and purloiners of personal property. Might as well stay here.
