"Americans’ food budgets will be hit hard by the ongoing Midwestern drought, the worst since 1956. Food bills will rise and many farmers will go bust."

"By suspending renewable-fuel standards that were unwise from the start, the Environmental Protection Agency could divert vast amounts of corn from inefficient ethanol production back into the food chain, where market forces and common sense dictate it should go."

"To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time."

"That was the curious incident," remarked Sherlock Holmes.

I just know that "renewable fuel" tore up my boat and my lawnmower.

Lower mileage. Higher cost. Incompatible with hoses and gaskets. Expensive repairs. What's not to like?

I remember visiting Brazil back in the early 90's and they were using corn based ethanol fuel there and had been for quite a while. I was taken with the way the air smelled everywhere you went. Very sickly sweet smell every where you went.

And continues to do so here in Delaware. It's killing small engines quickly; auto engines die a somewhat slower death from what I'm told by auto mechanics. Corn is meant for human consumption, not engines.
