Hey guys, I am not sure if this is the best place for this post, I apologize in advance if it is not.
Anyway, I was hoping to find out if anyone knew about a magic act called. Svengari and Co. What I know is Svengari, was supposedly a rather big name on the west coast in the late 80s and early 90s. It is also my understanding that He passed away rather quickly from cancer sometime in the mid-90s. I have tried doing a google search and did not come up with anything. The reason I ask is, it’s been years after his death and a friend of mine is doing an audit on all of props, to give to the lawyers. I have had the opportunity to search 5 or 6 trunks of misc. Props, gimmicks, and magic supplies. Svengari’s Super X is sitting in my living room, with his logo on the tables. (It’s an S with a magic wand) Some of the props are homemade, and others and high quality craftsmanship. I was just curious as to who this guy was.

I saw that as well, and it seems he may be the guy, but not much is found about Paul Svengari.

I believe that Paul was originally from Green Bay.
I met him here after being introduced to him by sveral other area magicians. He invited me to one of his shows here and I remember that he did a lovely version of the Linking Rings. |

Hi, Andy. I’m sorry I didn’t see your post sooner, but I saw Paul Svengari and Company perform many times in the late 1970s at the Magic Cellar in San Francisco. He was an excellent magician. One of my favorites actually. If you’re still interested, I could tell you what I remember of his platform act.
By the way, what became of his props? |
