Recently unearthed in southern Spain. A small hoard of Roman coins with a very odd countermark. It was not any Roman countermark that had ever been cataloged before was not authorized by the Roman Senate.

The coins are circa 155 A.D. and appear to be from the time of Marcus Aurelius Antoninus. The coins are in route to us now from Spain.

The countermark is from the 5th house of Sanctum...

I have a funny feeling that this is not going to be in Outlaw's pocket mentalism category.

Whats funny is that in the 5th century bc Greek and Latin manuscripts talked about obulus, the price paid to Charon.
perhaps that 5 has a lot of meaning.

I think there may not even be a coin involved. I noticed that sanctum and the numeral five is Photoshoped.

That is the actual coin. We digitally added the countemarks, but they will be countermarked just like the way it looks in the picture Smile
It will look just like that.

It is a Roman sestertius coin. 1.25 inches accross and very thick. Almost 30 grams in weight. It comes in a tiny aged leather pouch.

Look for it sooooon.

It will be in the Arsenal under specialities and it will be reasonably priced Smile

It is an artifact. I'm sure there will be many ideas on how you may want to present it, but it is an artifact from the history of Sanctum.

I believe it is the Roman version of the Sanctum "proof of membership"
They would show the coin to be allowed into the 5th house.

It is not gaffed

It is a Roman coin with a very odd countermark. It is an aritfact of Sanctum for those that know sanctum does exist and to do what they will with it.

Maybe it's lucky? Maybe it's cursed?

I do know this, it won't fit in a parking meter Smile

It's been used many times here, but if any one objects, I have no problem with the mods deleting the post.
