Tell him the guy who brought him the "reverse Oreos" backstage at the Magic Castle a few years back says "Hi", and "Break whatever you need to break to win!"

Sean Bogunia's "Dancing Hank Routine"?

To do some research, "Spellbinder" was
buzzed off by the judges for performing this a few years back.
The judges have seen the same routine bere as Howard Stern mentioned.
Having said that, I believe he will move forward, but please play to
Puck's close up strengths.

He is wonderfully talented. Play to what makes Puck, well....Puck!

I really enjoyed Puck (as always).

How was Rudy Coby? I was at a volleyball game and missed him, evidently.

Rudy was not great. IMO he should have stuck to the act he made famous, at least to start. Puck was good and considering he only had 90 seconds he fit a lot in. But he is capable of much more.

Watching these magician clips reminds me why I stopped watching this abysmal television show.

Good, solid, skillful and small scale magic finally worked on AGT!
That is a good sign for next years crop of magi.

Doubtful. as they told him he better start doing the "big stuff" or he's going to be out of there. The producers will turn him into a box of the month guy just like they've done to every other magician who's been on the show. You can get on doing the small stuff. But if you want to staty on the show you better find yourself some big ol' box tricks that can be performed in under minute and a half.

Dittleman is getting along just fine with his mentalism act.
Packing small playing big can work, but Puck must also show
some of his personality. The routine didn't really allow for
his personality to shine through this time. He also looked a
bit stiff (nerves perhaps).

Scott, I would suggest that he consider the approach that Dittleman
is using. Having said that, Puck is very lucky to have you, as one
of his best friends, as you mentor him through this process.

There is no doubt that many of Puck's friends and fans, current
company included were a part of this victory, as we heated up the
lines to vote on his behalf.

I have all three dancing hank gimmicks in my closet. My girlfriend
said, "Hey what the F?" when she saw Puck working them. I told
her that I was the only magician with that effect in a little
white lie several years back. It was the only way for me to justify
the purchase....Tee-hee!

Puck was great last nite, and having never seen him before, I think his personality did shine through. Yes, he looked a little scared or nervous, but who would not be.

What is wrong with these judges, not one comment on his performance, just give me a big trick. I would have told them, then write the check and they can stand there and wave their arms. Or, I am not an Illusionist, I am a magician and performer!

So much these Judges and producers do not realize what magic really is, and it is not a big box.

I don't know if Puck has regular material or an act he does all the time, but if I was him, I would do what I know and like performing, and not jump to the demands of the bigger, bigger, bigger crap. Both will be certain death anyway, as they will not put him through for a poor big trick and if he does what he know, then he will not get through for not pleasing the judges and producers, but doing smaller scale magic.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

WOW! Rudy got old, what happened! He performed that trick just like he did on his television specials. I can't believe no one ever worked with him to clean up that boring middle part. The time may be needed for the trick to work, but it gets really boring and slow with the clown. To bad he did not make it through to the next round.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I kind of knew the spring snake guy, was not going anyplace. He needs to put lights on those snakes or have them make a sound. There is just something missing. As much as he rehearsed, I can't believe he did not hit the music ques right on and perfectly. He always waited until the sound started before he set the springs off. thus he was always late with the shooting spring snakes.

What is wrong with the dancing hank? I believe his act was well performed (even though some nervousness showed). Also, are you a fashion critic? This is a forum for magicians helping other magicians; not a place to tear them down.

How you look on stage is important. I'm not a fashion critic but I know what looks good and what doesn't.
