So I was on set of one show yesterday and get a call to audition for another. So at 2am I find a quiet place and set up. The producer just wants me to do a coin roll flourish with a quarter. I want my audition to stand out from the others so I decided to add a production of the quarter first and a surprise at the end of the actual coin roll.
So in my right hand I am taping with my cell phone and with my left hand I am doing all the magic. I don't think it turned out so bad considering. http://youtu.be/-8dGZ7G9JDI Flash forward to today. On set again, and get a call again! Producer liked my first routine and said it was a gimmicked quarter (Ha! NOT) and then asked if I can do the coin roll with a penny as that's how its actually written in the script. Of course I said I could and made a new video. Again taping with my phone in my right hand and doing all the magic with the left. Again it didn't turn out too bad. http://youtu.be/Tt0S_lEoYhI Doing a coin roll with a penny is not as easy as I thought it would be. This took several takes to get right. Either I couldn't roll the penny right, or I would flash the production at the end. But after about 10 tries I got a decent one and sent it to him. Fingers Crossed! Chad |
