It's here! Anyone else get theirs?
Most shops carry 30 ft. of pre-stripped Kevlar for $10. So, I thought this was an easy decision because the Bullet comes with 40 ft. of pre-stripped Vectra ( or John Harr ) for $10 ( shipping included ). It's like getting an extra 10 ft. of IT and the Bullet for free. http://www.emagicsupply.com/index.php?ma......s_id=371 I watched the teaching video several times. Don't start playing with the Bullet until you watch the video because there is an easy and correct way to unspool it and set it. This is a very clever little device. The Bullet is simply an easy way to carry and use IT. It's so small you can carry in a variety of ways. On the demo Steve showed a TT. He teaches how to set that up ( and it's not just slid into the TT;-) Steve also shows a devious way to use it with an an item we all have. I set this up and it works wonderfully. When you choose the length you want to use, just rewind it because the Bullet "remembers" the length you used and you can spool that exact amount back out when you're ready to perform. The demo starts with Steve actually breaking the thread to show how easy it is to get going. For the traditional bill effect taught, ask for a bill, set your anchor point and silently unspool. Steve teaches both his "Birthday Suit" setup and my favorite, using the item we all have. Beside the anchor point, you can also do floating from hand to hand, the Hummer card, etc. BIG thumbs up from me! |

I just received the Thread Bullet & the Web Spinner.
Both are excellent tools for thread work. No, they are not retractable but they are very useful for static hookups (and stripping). I will play with it tonight to get a better feel for its' operation. I also watched Fearson's video (online) explaining the workings of the Thread Bullet. Well Done.

Ihop, what is your experience level with IT? I am trying to begin performing some IT stuff, but I don't know where to start. Retractable vs. static, kevlar vs non kevlar, bullet or spinner or something else.
Thanks

I am still learning and am trying different threads, reels, tools, lighting, clothes. I performed IT about 20 times and only one time did the spectator say, You are using thread. But I have also had other guesses such as "static electricity, magnets, etc. I can't advise you but there are plenty of experts in this forum. I learn more here than anywhere else.

In my opinion all it reels on the market seem to have the same issue:)
If the thread breaks, goodbye performance If you move away from the object, it starts to move up and down, goodbye floating illusion I have testes every itr out there and can tell you, that every single one has the 2 main issues Mentioned. Static hook ups imho and for the working professional are the only way 2go Just my 5 cents

Found this on Steve's Youtube channel. I believe he's using the Thread Bullet birthday suit hookup.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22E-8bZ__......ure=plcp The floating cork is at 1:27, but the whole video is very entertaining. Just Steve playing/doing magic for his daughter. |

I've been scared of thread magic for as long as I can remember................
Just been playing around with Fearson's Thread Bullets.... gorgeous little things.... and so *** easy to use!! I really wish I hadn't wasted my money on a Spider Pen Pro now, as, for so little cost, the thread bullets are just as effective. And, they come with DECENT THREAD - vectra is ace - none of this cr*p mesika thread that snaps instantly. And, Master Wax.... the best wax there is by a million. Thread Bullets - I bought 2... just wish I could get them from a UK dealer, instead of America... but eMagicSupply do fast shipping.

Steve ships free worldwide. I think it only takes a few days from the U.S. to the UK. And the Master Wax is the best out there.
