How long is the spool? Is it small enough to hold in finger palm like Tarantula? In fact, I am looking for a device to secure the thread to perform ring levitation, not in a static way, but dynamic like with Tarantula. The shortcoming of the latter is for me three hold: 1) Tarantula is rather big ; 2) when the thread tangles, it is not easy to repair; 3) the cost is expensive if you should buy another spool with thread, because other threads more strong but hard are not suitable for the small diameter of the spool and it tangles more often. I love the ring float by Mesica, but prefer performing it just with a thread and wax, but the thread is hard to secure in this case. Does the Tread Bullets can be used in place of Tarantula? I tried Copin's Invisible Thread. I want a better system. Thank you for you help.

Lyoma, never had a tarantula so can't comment on that... But, the thread bullet is small enough to fit in a sharpie cap or thumb tip - so you could finger palm it I guess... though it's easy to attach anywhere on your body.
I think the thread bullet is perfect for the Hummer Card type effects.... It's my new hook up. The thread is so easy to fix if it breaks and doesn't often tangle due to the nature of the simple design. The best thing is, they are so cheap! For a few dollars you can't go wrong trying it.

This thread just saved me a ton of money! I am ordering a thread bullet to play with before I invest any more of my dollars into IT stuff. I'm excited about getting started with it though, I think it's going to really help the tip jar at the beertending job!

For Halloween I had my Thread Bullet with Vectra. I used it all night and not once did the IT break.

Lyoma, have you tried to fill Tarantula with vectra? It works in my opinion quite well and doesn't tangle more often than the original one except when doing some "spinning" levitation effects, which I prefer to do without the device for that reason. |

Anyone used this much? How well does it play in comparison to the other ITR's?

Hi Jim, I haven't had much experience with ITR's for the only reason that I hate spending time to fix it, after the thread breaks.
These new bullets seem to be something, that are disposable. The main difference , I believe between these and the ITR is that ITR can reuse the thread ,so has a retraction mechanism, whereas these are disposable, so no hassles or fixing. I meant to ask ,Is it really as useful as an ITR, with no retraction mechanism!? |

As useful for some effects, but of course not useful for effects that absolutely need a reel!

You will be surprised to see how smoothly the metal cap balances itself and spins (no wobble). Before using the metal cap, don't forget to remove & discard the inner sealing plastic washer from the cap. Note: For such effects an ITR is not a must. Using Fearson's hook-up, you can do the floating-n-spinning as well as up and down movement. Enjoy!

I am getting ready to purchase a thread bullet and wanted to know which thread I should get if I am wanting to do the floating dollar. I will likely try other things as well, but primarily the floating dollar. Should I go with the John Haar thread for more invisibility or will the Vectra be fine?

Is using a TT the only way to use the Fearson hookup without breaking the thread on the bullet? Has anyone come up with other ways to do this?

I stick the thread bullet to the back of my ear. No TT.
The only problem with the bullet, is storing it / wrapping it away when not using.
