Long-time reader, first-time poster, with a quick question for the moderators.

I recently published a new book on magic, and it has just recently gone up on Amazon and Barnes and Noble (huzzah!). So in order to get the ball rolling on reviews, I wanted to offer a few free review copies to members of the Café. The idea is that they get a free book, and my book (hopefully) gets a handful of nice reviews on Amazon.com and B&N.com.

First though, I wanted to check here to get permission from the moderators and make sure everyone is happy with me. The Magic Café's rules on “advertising” are somewhat unclear to me, and I don't want anyone to think I'm spamming the forum (particularly since this is my first time posting). My intention isn't to “advertise” per se, I really just want to give away a few review copies of my book to the nice people here on the Café.

I'll refrain from posting links, or even mentioning the book's title, until a moderator gives me permission to do so. I'd be happy to send a pm to a moderator with a link to the book's page on Amazon, so they can verify that the book is legit.

The review copies that I would be giving away would just be pdf's that I would email to interested reviewers. I would probably limit the number of review copies to the first 5 people to respond.

Assuming that a moderator is nice enough to give me the go-ahead, I'd also like to be advised on what the proper forum would be in which to make a post about the review copy giveaway (perhaps the book review section?).
