This is a current case in Alabama where a James Davis has his late wife buried in his front yard, but the city contends the grave constitutes an illegal cemetery. I thought the case had been settled, but I just heard they are still wrangling over it. What are your comments? Sounds like a good idea for a Hitchcock film, except this is reality.

I thought you were suppose to bury them in the back yard.
But seriously, you can't bury people just anywhere, can you? It has to be in a registered cemetery. Thought that was the law everywhere. Tom

She's been buried there 3 or 4 years with a headstone and all. With what other people have in their front yards around him, it's not that bad.

At 73, he's probably not interested in selling the house. Just keeping his word is goal.

Burial or cremation in the front yard, I have not decided yet.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

At some point the house has to be sold or inherited by someone. If I were to end up with it, I wouldn't want a body in my front yard.

Well you could dig it up and put it in the back yard.

Anyway there probably is someone burried in your front yard, bearing in mind its been there a long time.

That has arisen in Ireland more than once. Last year a man was killed over the disposal of his mother's remains. Another man kept his mum in the living room for two weeks while a court action went on over her disposal. Seems to me she should be left in the front yard. Move her when her husband dies.
