I have seen an interesting routine which involves a small deck of cards.
27 cards in total.

9 cards have red dots on their faces.
9 cards have green dots on their faces.
9 cards have black dots on their faces.

It appears:
Only one deck of cards is used.
And everything can be examined before and after the effect.

The spectator has a free choice, plus handles and shuffles the cards.

The spectator has a choice of any 2 colours, no forcing.
The third is the performers.

The spectator deals one card at the time face up onto the table.
Placing the card next to the person who chose that colour.

The person who gets all 9 colours first, wins.
The effect can be repeated, with a different result every time.
Of course, the performer wins every time.

Does anyone have an idea where this routine came from, or can be found?
If this is in a book or on a DVD, then I would appreciate any help in being able to purchase this routine.

kind regards,

Trying to bring back this post? It seems like a very interesting idea that I would be interested in performing it.

It appears to have come from a routine "Horse Race" or something of a similar name, sold by http://www.harriesmagic.com

I was going to buy this effect, but alas, they seem to have gone out of business.
