Hmmmm...a book on technique would be boring on an island since there aren't many effects in books like that and I would want effects to do while there. How fun would sitting around working a 15 different ways to do a side steal? I'd much rather have 5 books that were as big as possible with as much material in them as possible. Most books go over the techniques needed to perform the effect anyway so the only reason I can see for having something like Card Technique or Card College is if you're new to magic and don't know anything.
