Can some kind soul point me to the source where I can find the effect where the mentalist flips through a book and the volunteer chooses a page and a word.Later during the routine, the selected page was magically torn and it disappeared and appeared some place with the selected word underlined.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure it's what you're looking for, my memory being what is is, but I think Ted Lesley has something like that in Paramiracles.

The original effect - which was release nearly forty years ago - is Arthur Emerson's "Pegasus Page."

Pegasus Page is performed on Volume One of Rtichard Osterlind's DVD series No Camera Tricks.

I remember an effect that sounds like this being performed on TV by Paul Zenon when I was a kid. Blew me away. I remember it involved a visual encyclopedia and a picture of yellow plane, but despite my best efforts, I have never been able to track down the footage since that first time. It's amazing what a good show can do to an impressionable audience (ie. me)!

James Biss has contributions to the Pegasus plot on his book “Mind Blowing”. He uses a “plastic shipping envelope” that he never touches during the performance, very good!
You can find it on “Between 3 Minds” dvd too from Guy Bavli and Haim Goldenberg. Ted Lesley's version is also shown on his dvd "Cabaret Mindreading". I hope this helps! |
