TBH - *if* the adverts are correct, and the SS3 has the range it's advertised at, I really don't think it's necessary to get an incredibly strong magnet. My worry is that, if the magnet is too strong, it could give a false reading. (e.g. I approach the left hand with the SS, feel a V, and assume it's in the left, but in reality the SS was picking picking up the coin in the other hand).

Sorry, I don't know if Kreis makes super strong magnetic quarters.
Personally, the last thing I would worry about is getting too strong of a signal. Robert |

I have the Kries half dollar and works fine. Quarter is my go to though.
