If your like me you do all types of venues.
I have a lot of good material for stage parlor and intimate gatherings.

now I'm looking to add to my strolling close-up effects as I get a lot of repeat clients.
so what I'm looking for are some strong pocket mentalism effects preferably without a lot of reset.

what I have so far are;
sanctum 2
lunaria

I can do lots of things with just a pen and post its but I'm looking for more effects like the two listed above that will fit in my wallet. any reviews or suggestions?

Michael,

Stigmata is one of my favorites for this. It can be done anywhere and doesn't require any props. The effect is extremely memorable. Shift is also an incredible piece.

best,
A

Alchemy Moon's new Kadar would be a good one. It's coming out soon. Also Prof B.C.'s Haunted Inns of England - it's the best haunted key around. That one you can find on the Lebanon Circle site.

I guess I should be way more specific in what I'm looking for.

my goal is not to show off my own powers for the sake of it. to me that trivializes the art.

items listed so far that will fit.

zoltar
haunted inns

kader when it comes out.

Michael -

Thank you for mentioning Lunaria! Still one of my favorites.

Story, readings, sitter becomes mind reader, I think the reason I love the sanctum and lunaria cards are the back story and the fact that there is no way I could know the out come to the sitter. the cards are ungaffed. people are compelled by them.

the zoltar seems like fun, and haunted inns has a good premise for the haunted key another effect I perform regularly.

The Kings Cuss Cards could work depending on venue...if you could keep them in an inner breast pocket of a jacket. However, this is more a piece of theatre and may not be as suitable for a quick hop from table to table. But, it is powerful...

KIOKU I actually asked rick about them I'm waiting for him to get back with me.

kings cuss cards, I just got these a couple weeks ago and I must admit I was skeptical at first when I got them. but I decided to trust the creators and give it a fair shake. I am so glad I did, they play very strong. I now use them regularly. I like the fact that I can get a strong emotional hook into the sitter in the fact that he or she fights hard not to cause hurt to me. when the final reveal comes the stark silence and tension that follows is so stifling that it can be cut with a knife. then the realization of the blessing sets in and the release is so strong that some sitters actually swoon.

I had the same reaction when I initially got the CC. So I tried to digest the information and then put it down for a month. Came back to it and it resonated much differently with me - I could actually see the genius behind the routining...which was not as evident to me on the first few reads.

Regarding KIOKU, I enjoy that, as well.

I am willing to give any routine a shot as long as it meets my criteria.

! it must be geared to entertain the sitter, not stroke my ego.
2 it must be routined to give everyone something to think about when its over.
3 it must look like real magic even if its the sitter getting the credit.
4 it must have a back story that is believable should the sitter choose to let it in.

if I can take it and breath in some life to it to make it fit I will. if I can routine it so that it gives the sitter a strong reaction no matter what the action is ill take it. for close up I want simplistic handling, I do not want to have to focus on the mechanics of it but rather the presentation.

the more ungaffed the better.

I guess I'm to picky lol
