I'm on my way back home after visiting the Peter Turner Masterclass. I went all the way from Germany to the Netherlands (3 hours journey) because there was quite a hype going around about Peter and his abilities. Especially after seeing the mysterious Portugal video of him. I don't know how to say it, but he really freaked me out.
I would say that I've seen a lot in my 30 years in magic but I wasn't prepared for this. When you get into mentalism some of the must have books are Psychology Subtleties from Banachek and the works of Kenton Knepper concerning verbal subtleties and verbal forcing. What Peter does takes it to another level. The Masterclass went for nearly 5 hours. Beside a deck of cards… NOTHING!!!!!! How many mentalist performers do you know that can do a 5 hour lecture without any props? His thinking is absolutely groundbreaking in my opinion. We also analyzed the complete Portugal video and he told us what was going on. It was really scaring to be into mentalism so long and to get shocked for 5 exciting hours. Like most of the guys in the Café who didn't have had any contact with Peter I couldn't believe the hype. NOW I AM A BELIEVER! This has been the most informative and exciting lecture/ Masterclass I ever had the honor to visit. Peter is so passionate about what he's doing that he got me and the others right away. And he's also a really funny guy with an interesting vocabulary. )) All I say is this: C U Next Tuesday (insider joke for the participants and Peter) Not many guys can live up to their hypes, but Peter rocketed so much higher in my eyes. Of course there were one to two effects that didn't work perfectly, but that was more of a problem of a language barrier. But even there you could see that the effect would have worked if we were natural speakers of the English language. I really have to think all the stuff that Peter told us about. It was soooo much input and I would love to take every single step of the journey that peter offered us. I understand everybody who has his prejudice against Peter because there are far to often people hyped in our business that don't deserve it. Peter deserves it without any doubt. I'm not related to Peter in any way and he didn't pay me for this review ( what a shame YOU SHOULD PAY ME BUDDY) I write this because I saw the most f$£^#%}++#!~* pieces of mentalism I've ever witnessed. Peter, thanks for sharing your gift with us and to give us the opportunity to change our thinking on many ways. These were the best 5 hours I've ever spent in my life ( well, beside getting my wife pregnant to produce the most beautifully girl in the world) ;-) PS: I also thank all the other participants who are such great persons. Was a pleasure to meet you all. Special thanks to Steve who organized that mentalism live changing event. (now I have to get paid)

Told you so!
I looked into his stuff and was staggered. I said in my review of his eBook that Peter wasn't a friend of mine. I am pleased to say today that I can't repeat that claim. |

As one of the other participants I can only agree fully with Chester. What a day! What a guy! What the f***!
Thank you so much Peter, for showing us how it's really supposed to be! Frank

Wow Chester you must have made it home in record time, or you typed that on the train.
I've never organised a workshop before and was a little nervous that people would go away happy with the experience. I needn't have worried. I'd like to say thanks to all who attended. What a really great bunch of guys, with a range of experience levels. It was a pleasure to meet you all. We started at 1pm, and apart from a 30 minute break (during which a room full of guys were literally gasping in awe at the effects of a guy who says "I'm not good with cards") Peter didn't stop until 6PM. We retired to a restaurant where we ate and Peter continued talking until 8pm. Shame you had to leave then Chester, Frank Dan and Sten, because we then continued for another hour of demonstrations and teachings. We then returned to the original venue for another hour or so of discussion, and sometimes argument over the things we feel passionate about. I'm completely shattered so I will report more tomorrow. Then get ready for the lecture on Tuesday night steve |

At the risk of people thinking I'm just a Peter Turner disciple, and hyping him up for some personal reason....
We all know how time spent in this business can make us jaded. And magicians/mentalists are the worst audience, we don't react, we're looking for moves or methods or gimmicks etc. Yesterday I saw people actually sitting open mouthed at some of Peter's stuff. and I'm not talking about some armchair or amateur mentalist, though that demographic was in attendance as well, but full-time professionals. A room of guys with that same look on their faces that I had when I saw my first magic. Young enough to believe it was real. The feeling of awe. If ever you get the chance, go to one of his lectures. It will be worth every single penny and more. People paid 128 euros to attend yesterday. If they had paid 400 they would still have got value for money. Steve |

Gearing up for tonight's lecture.
If it's even 10% of what the workshop offered people are going to be blown away. Steve |

I will tell you a little bit about Steve (he will probs go mad for me telling you this ) He is the nicest gentleman on the planet (gentleman being the important word). He will go out of his way for anyone, he is very much a humanist and I for one am so proud to call him a friend. As a performer he has an amazing ability to make story out of things that people would have often over looked. Thank you a million and one times buddy, I had a real blast all thanks to you and made some new friends to boot! I look forwards to seeing you again near xmas and you are always welcome in my home any time. Pete x |
