The joker and their named card. Can also be done simply on the table but that's been in print forever using the turnover. Also the Mystery Card that's later gingerly turned over ala Brother John Hamman (He does it with a signed card) covered the Between Your Palms type solution. What's new?

I think the title of this effect was wrong announced by me.
it has to be: ''prediction impossible'' so if you want to tell me, that this effect as mentioned in my post allready exists and was released before, then I don't think that it works with every card just named by the spec. or without any force.

One could have the card signed too (- and free selection -) though IMHO that makes it "too perfect".

Yes sure I have a clue because of my own version. but I don't think there is a version out there
that is supposed to do this effect exactly as described. if this would be so, this would probably be a best seller top of the notch, like the howly grail of the prediction effects out there. so if you know a version french, I would appriciate to get it, but exactly as described in my first Post on this thread, thanks

Rasmus, could you kindly address the questions I asked in my first post in this thread? That could go a long way toward explaining how your effect would be different from -- or better than -- existing effects with essentially the same plot (some of which have been named here in this thread). The descriptions you've provided so far don't make that clear.
(Oh, and you really shouldn't be too surprised to learn that there's already a trick called "Prediction Impossible." It's from a little-known magic inventor named Jay Sankey. Better take another crack at naming your creation.)

I want to be very careful of what I tell you yes, the spectator can name any card, no force at all. no, the magician opens the box to show the card. no, his hands logically cant be shown empty before he takes the deck, but the cardcase will be empty after he took out the card. just to mention french: this method is intended for a layman audience, not for magicians. if you really could do what you are asking for, it would be real magic or a *** good trick. but I have a possibility to do this effect exactly as you asked for, but it can be done only as a stage act. I allready have the plans to marketing this effect. it would be called: The Perfect ACAAN. with this method every free selected card would be at the freely called position by the spec, or the spec names any card without any force, and his card will be the only one turned over in the deck. the deck stays in fullview on the table at any time. the magician never touches the deck. sounds good? yes?,its possible but very expensive at the moment and just as a stage act. hope this helps french.

just to mention french: this method is intended for a layman audience, not for magicians. Yes, I know. That was the point of my asking those questions: If your method can't do what I asked about, then this is a trick that's already been released. So what's the point of releasing it again under a new name? What's different about your "Prediction Impossible" (or whatever you end up calling it, if you actually release it) from previously released effects that have the same basic plot (many of which have been named in this thread)? If you can't answer that question, maybe you should do a little market research into what's already out there. Find out what's already available; learn the methods those versions use to create the same effect. Maybe run your version by some knowledgeable card magicians, as many here have already suggested, and see if they think it's sufficiently new and improved to warrant asking your fellow magicians to give you their money for it. These are questions I would ask and comments I would make in response to any fellow magician describing an effect and asking "what do you think?" -- especially if he's asking because he's trying to decide if he should offer it for sale. That question can't be answered without more information than you provided in your original post...not when the basic effect is such an old one, and it's just your method that's new -- maybe. These questions -- and other questions and comments other members have made -- are not unreasonable, Rasmus, and I think you'd do well to take them to heart.

Here are the names of tricks or utilities people have mentioned right here in this thread that they thought produced the same (or virtually the same) effect as what you described in the OP: Solo by Mark Mason Tool by David Stone Switch by Tony Miller Legend by Justin N. Miller Effects by Ben Earl, Lewis Jones, Jay Sankey Black Envelope by Bob Kohler X-Box by Kevin Schaller Encased by Dave Forrest Special Delivery by David Regal Fresh Mint Did you see all of those? Have you looked into each of those to be sure your effect and method are different and better? Unless you tell us exactly what your effect is and exactly what the method is, nobody's going to be able to give you the "exact name" of an identical product already on the market. Nobody expects you to give your exact method here...so you're going to have to do some homework of your own, and/or privately run the method by some knowledgeable magicians you trust to see if they think it's genuinely different from (and better than) what's already available.

May as well add Hofzinser's Predetermination of Thought which uses the "wildcard" type turnover rather than a Mexican turnover .

Thank you very much for the Mentioning of theese fine Tricks French.
So here are my words on some of the mentioned that I can tell immediatly: Solo by Mark Mason/ totally different Tool by David Stone/ totally different Switch by Tony Miller/ totally different Legend by Justin N. Miller/ totally different Black Envelope by Bob Kohler/ totally different (as shown on the penguin video totally impossible IMO) X-Box by Kevin Schaller/ totally different Encased by Dave Forrest/ totally different Special Delivery by David Regal/ totally different Fresh Mint/ totally different Now just to explain why: My Method doesent envolve a Card Deck that you have to handle. The Predicted Card is in the Cardbox before the Spectator names any card. There is just one Card that you place in the cardcase as a prediction. after the spectator named the card, you point to the cardbox on the table, open it and reveal the Card. It is exactly the freely named Card. So you see, totally different to all mentioned Effects here
