Well put, Lucien.

And thanks, too.

Sooo in the context of performing for audiences - this is good material for magic - ok?
If that is the general mindset and obsession for the local, then I guess certain magic is regional. I'll stick to my pedestrian family magic of cards, rope, spongeballs and coins, etc.

Did anyone already say this? "I'd prefer a Casey Anthony seance" performed in the old gas chamber at Alcatraz.

Rklew64, I think the general consensus is that it is not a good idea for entertainment/magic, but for those who have
a faith in spiritualism it could be a catalyst for healing.

That's what I took from this....Lucien hit the nail on the head a few posts up.

I understand. Thank you Matthew. I just felt it a subject and person to leave alone altogether and respect the privacy of that family. And as mentioned in earlier posts, borders exploitation.
It's one thing if Slim King was related.
Well, bottom line - glad most performers have the good sense to call out bad taste.

The problem with your thinking is that the Anthony's have already consented to a "Seance" by actually sending the Psychic Medium Ginnette Lucas, Caylees most prized Teddy Bear. The family has gone on numerous television shows and are currently working on Movie and Book deals. And you are also ignorant of the fact that Casey Anthony and I both worked at Universal Studios PRIOR TO HER ARREST and I've been on several radio shows about the mystery surrounding Caylees death and the Elephant in the Room .. WHO IS CAYLEES REAL FATHER?????.

I AGREE!!!! No one is suggesting a fake seance in any manner.

I would wait until everyone directly associated with the case is dead and buried.

And even then, I would probably wait another 75 years.

What we do is spooky magic. Magic! I would find such a subject extremely offensive YMMV

Agreed. I wasn't on here when this thread originated. But then and now I would simply view it as being in extremely poor taste no matter your relation to the parties or how you would present it.

Fine, if they want to do real seances - which I find false and bogus anyway - do them, but that sort of stuff does not belong HERE. Find a spiritualism forum. But not here - this is MAGIC - ILLUSION - MAKE BELIEVE. For the same reason we leave religion and politics at the door when we enter here. What we do here is no more real than if I really saw an assistant in half. When we start talking about this stuff being real then we've crossed a line.

We are simply trying to give the illusion of real magic. There is no law against using real magic and letting others believe it is an illusion is there?
