HI,
I have seen "Ker Plunk Wand " advertised as the all year round version of the christmas wand . can anyone tell me if you can do the same things with this as the christmas wand ? for example can you hand it to a child and have the end drop off as with the trailor for the christmas one? thanks phil |

Hi Phil. The magnet in the Ker-Plunk wand is much stronger than in my Christmas wand. It was necessary due to the heaviness of the tip, to keep it from flying off as you wave it around.
In my own shows, I do hand it to a child but I make the tip fall off as they touch the wand. If you tried to disengage the magnet and hand it to the child, the magnet is so strong, most of the time it will "pop" right back into position and hold the tip on. I now combine my ker plunk wand with my new squirting glue bottle which squirts a string two feet straight out of the bottle etc. Hope that helps! Tommy

I have both of the wands and can not speak highly enough about both of them. The kids love when the tip's fall off. Even though I have had kids yell, "It's a magnet" they still get a kick out of it.
If Tommy makes something and you are a kid performer you should buy it. Thanks Tommy and keep them coming. Posted: Sep 16, 2012 10:57 am And no I don't get paid by Tommy to say nice things and in fact I have never met him. Joe |

Thanks Joe! I love it when people love my products. In fact, I love it when they love it that I love when they like my products!lol
Oh yes . . . In the VERY near future I will be releasing three new products. Birthday Party Magic DVD: (Two DVD set) My entire uncut birthday party act along with two hours of explanations and my thoughts (for what they're worth!) about the birthday party business. (releasing mid October) Library Rabbit Production: I am in the process of manufacturing a rabbit production that I have been closing out my new reading show for the last two years with. It will be the perfect prop for magicians performing school and library shows that produce rabbits. Best of all, this entire rabbit production will hold a good size rabbit as well as pack COMPLETELY flat for traveling. (releasing . . . um . . . soon!) Spider Spins a Web: For anyone who has seen my Read to Achieve DVD, I close the show out with this prop. Charlotte the spider spins a web in a frame and writes a message for all the children to READ. (Releasing . . . um . . . when my wife allows me to) Posted: Sep 16, 2012 12:01 pm P.S. Only 25 rabbit productions will be made for a first run. Only 5 Spider Spins a Webs will be made for a first run.

I agree that both the Ker-Plunk Wand, and the Christmas Wand are both workers. The KP wand is a welcome change to the old BW wand: something a bit different, plays significantly longer, with a nice magical moment as the tip slides along the side of the wand, and pops back onto the end.
A very cool feature of the wand is that the m*****s are SO powerful that you can simply hold the tip against the end of the wand, and it will pull the gi**ick up....then locks into place. And, a nice bit of business when you get the tip stuck on your finger, is to heave and pull at it, but it won't come off. Now let the kid try. By pulling your finger at an angle, you can make it quite hard to pull the tip off, and when it does so, you get a satisfying "pop". Beautifully made, and now in every Potty the Pirate show for the under-7s. Frankly, if you don't own this wand, you're missing out on one of the best-kept secrets this year! Doug |

Nice, Tommy. I liked it.
How did you keep the kids from engaging in a feeding frenzy, fighting to grab the tip on the floor, when it popped off?

I like the bit where the tip goes on your pinky. Seems like it could turn into the beginning of a short thimble routine.

Just received Ker-Plunk wand.
Wow! Ker Plunk and Masel teasel wand are two of the best made wands ever. The magnet on mine was not strong enough to hold the tip dangling. I remedy that by adding another magnet to the tip. The wand is going right into my shows tomorrow. Just can't wait to get it going.I have one or two ideas with the routine. Ricky |

I love this wand and wanted to share a bit of business that some of you may use. I wear a coat with big pockets and I put some cards flat in the pocket to keep the pocket open a bit. when the tip drops I aim it for the pocket. if I miss no big deal just pick it up from the floor BUT when it makes it into the pocket it is great. there is one of two reactions, either everyone is looking on the floor expecting it there and it seems like it vanished.OR if it goes in the pocket I act like it's on the floor but cant find it . either way I eventually get it from the pocket. it adds a nice bit to it.
