I haven't used by Nielson bottle in a long time. Is there something I can use to clean it?

I use lighter fluid on my ketchup bottle. What are you trying to get off?

It is sticky from non use.

Goo Gone. Find it in your Local Wal-mart, Lowe's, or Home Depot.

Neilsen suggest Lighter fluid, it is in the instructions that comes with the bottle. Anyway, it was mentioned in mine.

Lighter fluid is great for sticky removal, that and newspaper print residue, if you make it vanish in newspaper.

After reading this thread, I pulled out my old nasty,sticky Nielson bottles and used Zippo lighter fluid. Worked a charm! Seriously, just like new. I just poured on the fluid and rubbed it with a cloth. This black residue came off but did not effect the bottle at all. Washed it with soap and water and it is just like new.

Don't forget to use Armor-All or similar product to give your bottles that glass-like shine.

I'm in the UK and would like to reuse my 'sticky' bottle and as David says give it a glasslike shine. Can you be more specific about Armor-All (i.e. what it's really for) so that I can find a similar UK product? I have an empty coke bottle.

Found Armor-All....It's available here in the UK at B&Q. Car interier cleaner and/or wheel cleaner.
