I had a minor problem with my Happie Amp. Not the amp, per se, but the carry-bag that goes with it. I emailed Brian about the problem. He asked for my address on Tuesday. Today is Thursday, and a new bag arrived in the mail, entirely at Brian's expense. I'm tellin' you folks - THAT is customer service. Happie Amp is one of those rare companies that still believe in keeping their customers happie... er... happy!

I hear ya Michael. I know exactly what you are talking about. I called him myself about a challenge. He took care of it with no hassle.
I no longer use the carry-bag anyway. I keep two of them in a metal case. Next month the Ultimate Controllers will be mailed out. I can not wait for the arrival. I'm so happie, I know I got up on the right side of the bed today. |

I had an odd battery issue with the belt pack, he sent me an entire NEW unit WITH a extra hand held mic, with no expense to myself

I've heard that Brian stands behind his products. I haven't had any issues yet, but if I do, it's so nice to know I'm taken care of! I wish more companies were like this.
Way to go Brian! - Kevin |

Just buy Show Cue to work with your Happie Amp. Simple.. Cheaper.. Can be used with other things besides a Happie Amp

Thanks. Great recommendation Kevin. The only problem with me is Shoe Cue is an app for iPhone/iPod Touch and iPads only. I have a Android phone. I would have to purchase an iPod or iPad because I do not want to have two monthly phone services. The reason I am interested more in Ultimate Control is because of the design. The buttons are raised and separated for ease of use when in the pocket or on the arm inside of the sleeve.

I always like to see the products in discussions.
I think this is the web site for the amps you're talking about right? Ultimate Control here. and Show Cue here. If these are not the right links somebody set me straight so that I'm looking at the right place.

I am sorry but the link to the Shoe Cue app is incorrect. Here is the correct link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/show-cues/id525349932?mt=8 The other two links are correct. Here is a thread on a discussion of Show Cue: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......m=11&138 There are no reviews for Ultimate Control yet because no one received their purchase yet.

They are even coming out with a toe switch and several other feature far beyond what the Happie Amp Control can do. I think every child in the United States probably owns a Ipod by now. There is NO need for phone service or an Iphone. A simple older Ipod touch will work. You could buy the older first generation Ipod touch on craigslist or ebay for $35-$55 dollars. Even with buying a first generation Ipod and the Show Cue app your less than half the price of the Ultimate Control cost and you would have a TON of more options with an Ipod for A LOT less money! All the cool apps, Magic tricks and effects.. All for $50 and a program like Show Cue that can be used for any sound system. Why in the heck would you buy something that cost way more with less options??? |

Why in the heck would you buy something that cost way more with less options??? Simple answer. Because I did not know about the other product. I already paid in advance for my purchase of Ultimate Control. Because of the affordable fees you listed for Show Cue, I might purchase it too. If one goes bad traveling to venue, I will have a back up. But the major thing I love more about Ultimate Control are the raised buttons on the remote. It will be easy to feel for without looking at it. I really do not think both will put too big of a hole in my pocket. |
