I was hoping if andyone knows a link where I can buy a storage case/performance table. It is cube-like when in storage/transport mode and can be raised to rectangular shape and used in your show as a table (on wheels). I have seens several library performers use these. Anyone?

Thank you for any help as it is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you are looking for a Joe Lefler Pro Suitcase Table:

Even though Joe is very close to passing away (very sad... I read that on Facebook recently), I also read that someone is going to carry on making his tables (Ken Scott shared that in a post on Facebook). You can also google the name to find other dealers that carry it.

More tables:

There are plans for many magic tables in Micky Hades' book, "The New Make Up of Magic." Eugene Gloye also published a couple of books that cover the topic of magic tables ("The Table Book", Vols. 1 & 2).

Donald - Thank you for this vault of information - it would appear that Lefler tables are the way to go.

I've owned the same large Lefler table for almost 20 years. It's been through thousands of shows. I'm very happy with it.

P.S. I would encourage you to read through the Magic Café thread that I linked to. There are some knockoffs that are cheaper, that aren't as well built.

If you don't have very many props and/or they are smaller,or you are simply in a very tight setting, then I would suggest the Hank Moorehouse Cube Table. It is sold by Lefler and is made out of the same material as the suitcase table.

I use the Ultimate Gig Case II by Doug Reis because its also works as an open top table & comes with a side table. I have been using mine for about a year and a half & absolutely love it! You can also pack things in the bottom of it, so you can just wheel it into the show & unpack. Check it out herehttp://flipdisc.com/UltGigCase/ultimate_gig_case.htm

Sorry to hear about Joe. I just met him last Feb at a convention in DC.

I researched his table after having experiemented with several others. I came to the same conclusion as others. It's a great table/storage unit. I still didn't buy it. Here's why. Portability is of huge importance to me. I need to get in and out of my car and in and out of birthday homes as fast as I reasonably can. Some parties are hosted in basements. Carrying the Lefler table down a flight of stairs appeared to be too cumbersome to me: heavy and unweildy.

The strong building materials that Joe uses come at the price of added weight. I drive a Toyota Camry and I was afraid of anything that would damage my seats and/or bang up the walls of homes as I pass through tight doorways. If I had a larger stage show and a van, I would likely use a couple of his table/cases.

My solution was a simple suit case placed on a keyboard stand. I use some clips to attach my banner to the front of the case once it is open (hides the top of the suitcase and shows my branding). I added some white corrigated plastic round the front and sides to keep prying eyes in check. I can use the wheels to pull the case along or just carry it.

$ 50 for the case from Walmart if memory is correct
$ 30 for keyboard stand from Sam Ash
$ 15 for corrigated white plastic at my local sign shop
$ 30 for banner from vista print
__________
$125 for a relatively light weight solution that is easily manuverable.

Best wishes in your pursuit of what case will work best for you. Everyone is different. The props you need to carry will also influence your selection.

Or.. you can try one of these...

There's only ONE left like it. and two prototypes... and it might be discontinued..They were expensive to build.. and they're not an international best seller like other things in the shop that take less time and space to build and store.
