When you think you're alone, we are always there..watching...

It is more of the set up and delivery then the phrase itself:

Imagine suddenly waking in the middle of night. You're not quite sure why. Did you hear something that startled you? It is dead quiet, but you're on alert and awake. So you decide to get out of bed and check your house. Just as you walk through your bedroom door the air chills slightly. You begin to walk down your dark hallway and hear the faint sound of old dry rope twisting, creaking as if it were taunt from a heavy weight. You stop to listen, but as soon as you do, it fades. As you begin to walk down the hall the twisting rope seems to start again. You stop. Silence. You wait to see if it will start again. Nothing. You're about to start down the hall again, when you hear what sounds like a few knuckles cracking right behind you. You pause, about to turn when you hear a harsh whisper in your right ear:

"Good-bye"

"The shadows are watching, they see your heart and they know the things hidden from the rest of the world. The shadows are watching..."

One night when I laid down to sleep quite early, I was sleeping quite lightly (and still aware of my room) and I heard a very familiar voice (I know who it was) say just my name in quite a normal tone. It seriously sounded as if it was within inches of face. I bolted out of bed and had my back pressed against the bedroom window before I was even conscious that I had moved at all. Nobody there at all, just my paranoia, but scared me for a week, even with a lock on my bedroom door

Maybe there isn't one universal word or sentance, but certain 'buzz words' that will affect different people depending upon their experiences???
