Hey guys,

I was just wondering, what's your favorite one handed sleight?

Is it cuts, hot shot, fans or something else?

I am still working on it, but the one handed riffle shuffle is a nice little flourish.

The first one hand technique I learned was the De'Courcey One Hand Riffle Shuffle. This was taught to me by Jake Evans who was working behind the counter at Davenports back in the early 70's. This is one of the prettiest things young can do with cards. For a covert tehcnique, I am quite partial to my technique for the One Hand Bottom Palm, and Marlo's One Hand Bottom Deal.

Smile As always, you are great my friend.

And talking about Rene, the best one-hand sleight I have seen him, was few days ago. I was with him, and he showed me a one-hand false shuffle. Imagine that he did a one-handed shuffle (the cards getting together), and the he just cut the deck, and the whole deck returns to its original position. Just incredible Smile

All the best magic,

It may be more an utility move than sleight but I still say pinky count. I use it in all most every trick that I do in one way or another.

A move from Drawing Room Deceptions where you display a double with one hand and in the act of rotating the card's back to the spec you peel off the top card - the face of the card that the spec sees - into lateral palm or Tenkai; a nice switch with one hand.
Sack subs, ok Ross?
We miss you asper.

I love the Marlo One-Handed Stud Second Deal. I'm still working on it though.

My best friend.... the one-hand top palm.

Much easier to acquire than I was led to believe.

After a weak, you're a top-palming kind of guy.

Go forth and top palm!!!

I do a nice move where a one handed triple charlier cut brings a selection out so it is outjogged half way and upside down in the middle of the deck.

I call it it the Johnson-middle-of-the-deck-reverse-outjogged-triple-charlier-cut.

:)

no...not really.

I have seen Levand do his one-handed false shuffle. It is wonderful.

I can't (don't ask me why) get the knack to do the one handed top palm. (OK, my hands are stiff from surgery)... But... I do a one handed bottom cop, altho at the end of the move I take the deck away in my other hand.
