This is a place to introduce some members here who don't post as often,
but are certainly worth noting. The first one I'd like to share is Mark Faulkner. He posts under the user id "Faulkner" Mark has found a way to do the things he loves: history, magic and music. His dream now is to add travel to the mix and go to Europe to study its history. He shares insight on pursuing your dream that is a true 'nugget'. Besides Tours - he is also a musician and magician http://www.faulknerentertainment.com. Here is an interview from 2010 Faulkner Magic. If you have someone that you would like to feature, feel free to post a little about them here. |

Excellent idea Devious! Perhaps we can beg the modifiers to make this thread a 'sticky thread'...

Today's profile is on none other than Payne http://www.masterpayne.com
He is a very prolific writer, creator, festival, and corporate entertainer. Check out his website for some terrific video clips! I first met Payne way back before the The Magic Café was created, on the about.com magic forums at a little joint we called the Watermelon & Parrot. |

Master Payne is one of my favorite magicians and his styles closely match mine, and/or vice versa.

Today's featured performer is none other than my good friend Brian Alexander, also known as Pizpor.
He is a very unassuming charming fellow who literally kills with his box of doom! Google it on Youtube it's freaking hilarious! Whether he performs outdoors or inside, his sidewalk show stays the same. He keeps it real! Fun quirky humor at it's best. You can find him at http://www.pizpor.com Here is a Clip. |

An excellent promo vid! Very nicely shot. Kudos, Pipzor (and nice double entendre; had always wondered how you pronounced it).
Keep them coming, Brother Devious!

I created an animation for Magic Babe Ning and JC Sum earlier this year.
The animation drew lots of his fans and others from the Asian region to my site. Today, I have more requests for my services from that market versus The U.S. Having said that, I started looking around for Asian street performers and found Alexander Yuen. To my surprise, he was already a member here and visits the Sidewalk Shuffle several times a week. Alexander Yuen is a psychology major student in Singapore. He is not only bringing his professional approach to street theatre, but also improving the public's perception, for what we do as performance artists. He is also an award winning magician who has won several awards from the Singapore Magic Circle and International Brotherhood of Magicians as well as competed in International magic competitions in Japan. Here is a link to his Street Show Reel. Show Reel, Love the song Alex, I'm a FAN! To find out more about Alexander and his work visit http://www.metaillusions.com We look forward to more of your input in this forum Alexander! |

Hi Devious!
Thank you for featuring my profile! I am extremely flattered as well as humbled. I have only started real street performing for about a year, and it is by far the best experience I had as a magician. The inspiration to do street performing would have not been possible had I not went to the United States and Arizona State University which allowed me to travel and see what a real street half/circle show is. |

Alex,
I am very glad that you had the opportunity to catch the show, but boy Phoenix sure was hot though! I hope you are enjoying the busking materials that you picked up whilst you were here. Your indoor experience has carried you very far and well, but as you see breaking the fourth wall is where it's at! |

Brian Miller a dear olde friend reminds me much of Eric Evans, albeit much younger lol.
Brian's a perfect example of a young man who sought and found wisdom from his elders, instead of arguing with them as a know it all. He has grown much and certainly holds his own against the finest mages. He's a pretty darned good musician as well. He gigs lots at various colleges. http://www.brianmillermagic.com Watch some of his magic right, Here. |
