Does anyone feel that large Morgan Dollars don't work as well in matrix type effects as they are too big to be entirely concealed?
Two coins can be completely concealed under a single playing card, but in an affect where more than one coin "needs" to be concealed under a card, one or two will always protrude. It never really bothered me, until I started thinking about spectators' perceptions of this trick in particular. |

It depends how you structure the routine. I do a matrix type effect using Morgan Silver Dollars. It's called Field of Dreams and it is explained in my coin book, 21st Century Coin Mechanics

I find that beer coasters work well when doing matrix with Morgan dollars. Most square ones will cover four Morgan's.
Just the way I've been doing it ~ magic.42 |

Mirror David's comment re: using bills as covers - there's harmony between the two items.
You also have the opportunity to produce the coins from the notes at the outset?

I don't have a handling worked Out for it, But I was thinking Of tearing a $ 1.00 Bill In half And use each Have as a Cover! Then at the end of the Routine Restore The Bill!

There's footage somewhere of Ammar doing his matrix on TV with silver dollars. I think it's the Merv Griffen show and my best guess would be the topit tapes.
