Time for you to make a new book test up then. My vote goes to a Lovecraft edition.

The words of the prophet are written on the Magic Café. (Paul Simon was apparently wrong.)

Next up will be a whole library of 'antique' first editions, including Lovecraft, Poe, &c. to complement GH*ST (or as stand-alone effects). Look for (at least some of) them in time for your Hallowe'en festivities.

Excellent news. In that case I'll plant the seed for an edition of Oscar Wilde-The picture of Dorian Gray. I've wanted something on that theme for a while. But Lovecraft I'm sure will keep me happy.

The final AES GOETIA sold over the weekend. Many many thanks to all who got one. You now have what no one else can get.

I will be posting a performance idea in the Crypt immediately.

Thank you,

I check my PMs regularly, but I am not yet judging the quill case entries. I will do after the contest closes. Thank you for your entries, most sincerely.

Two great finds. The silver cross I like because it holds the 3 pieces in place until it is fully unwrapped and is a seal to stop the demons from escaping and the book is from 1720 owned by Brother Agonia. It is the French Psalms of David sung version and the first of its kind. It also has a bit of a dark history to it, around the time it was released there was an uprising of a religious faction, the book was suspected in having something to do with the mass slaughter. If only they really knew. I'm thinking of making it into a hidden compartment book containing implements and diagrams referring to the demon trap. Any ideas on what might be in it would be appreciated and whether I should or not. Thanks

Super idea about the crucifix. I cannot condone the destruction of a beautiful and significant old book, but you might think about adding aged notes, old drawings, &c. that could be held between the pages.

I agree with Prof BC. Integrate the book in to your routine, certainly, but don't do anything to an antique that can't be undone. The book and cross are lovely (great finds!).
