Ok. What have I got here? It's a pair of identical brass boxes (they look just like the standard nickel to dimes boxes). One of them does nothing. The other hides a "stack" of quarters... 5 fake, 2 real. The interior diameter of the stack won't hold nickels. It would hold dimes, but they would be very loose.
Any ideas? |

Yea that's OLD! You would set on Of the Little Boxes Mouth up Put the stack on it And cover With the Other Box And the quarters Vanish!
Myself I would Toss the ungaffed box, And Put The ring away ( For Latter) And just do the vanish! Or ever better a Coins trou hand Routine! |

I've discovered the answer. It's Fred Lowe's "Coin Cylinder". I hadn't referenced the aluminum cylinder because I thought it was strictly a bang ring. Didn't realize it gets used during the trick.

Correction...
What I've got is actually called "M.T. Cylinder". It's the original. A few years after it was released, Lowe made a couple of small improvements and released this version. (I actually found instructions for "Coin Cylinder" and it referenced the original trick and describes the differences. ) |
